Dancing with Change

An Online Insight Meditation Retreat

May 29-31, 2020

Flowering Lotus Meditation and Retreat Center - Chatawa, Mississippi

There’s a saying in India that “The world is like a grinding stone. It will either grind you up or it will turn you into something beautiful.” In this unprecedented time generated by the COVID-19 pandemic, this aphorism takes on an entirely new level of meaning. This first-ever online retreat for the Flowering Lotus community will be a powerful exploration of the ways in which Buddhist teachings can help us to transform ourselves into something beautiful. While this is a very challenging time in many ways, it’s also a time that offers extraordinary opportunities to see the benefits of Dharma practice in our lives.

Deepening Your Practice

An Insight Meditation retreat for experienced students

August 17-23, 2020

Rocky Mountain Ecodharma Retreat Center - Jamestown, Colorado

This retreat is for those who want to deepen their practice and to listen to what the Thai meditation master Ajahn Chah called “the one who knows.” Ultimately, spiritual maturation involves learning to trust our own inner guidance and resting in the felt realization that we already are what we seek. In a caring, supportive environment, we’ll practice sitting and walking meditation in silence. There will be dharma talks on the retreat theme as well as guided meditations and some interactive exercises that highlight the transformative power of the teachings.
