In this retreat, we’ll practice sitting and walking meditation in Noble Silence to quiet our minds and open our hearts. There will be meditation instruction and dharma talks on the retreat theme. We will also do some guided meditations and interactive exercises designed to deepen our understanding of the joys and challenges of working to benefit living beings and our planet.

Deepening Your Practice

An Insight Meditation retreat for experienced students

August 17-23, 2020

Rocky Mountain Ecodharma Retreat Center - Jamestown, Colorado

This retreat is for those who want to deepen their practice and to listen to what the Thai meditation master Ajahn Chah called “the one who knows.” Ultimately, spiritual maturation involves learning to trust our own inner guidance and resting in the felt realization that we already are what we seek. In a caring, supportive environment, we’ll practice sitting and walking meditation in silence. There will be dharma talks on the retreat theme as well as guided meditations and some interactive exercises that highlight the transformative power of the teachings.

The primary focus of this retreat will be the practice of sitting and walking meditation while keeping silence. There will be meditation instruction, dharma talks, mindful movement practices, and opportunities for discussion. Using guided experiential exercises, we’ll review the year that is ending and reflect upon what we’ve learned. At the end of the retreat, we’ll set our intentions for the year to come and prepare to set them in motion on January 1st.
